Certifications

Nine credentials, one habit: keep learning.

Certifications aren't the point — the mental models they force you to build are. For each one I share what I learned, how I approached it and what I'd focus on if I sat it again.

My general approach

How I prepare for any certification

The same four-step loop has worked for every exam, from Admin to Architect.

  1. 01 · MAPTurn the exam guide's weightings into a study budget. 20% of the topics are 50% of the marks.
  2. 02 · BUILDBuild every concept in a dev org. If I can't demo it, I don't understand it.
  3. 03 · EXPLAINTeach it back — to a colleague or a notebook. Gaps show up immediately.
  4. 04 · SCENARIOPractise with real-world scenarios, not memorised answers. Exams test judgement.
